How can I become a human rights activist?

For the fifteen years that I’ve been alive, I’ve been struggling to figure out what I want to do after high school. I’m currently in the ninth grade and I’ve recently realized that I want to make a difference. I’d like to become a human rights activist. However, I’m unaware of the post-secondary education requirements (if there is any), or where I could go to get this information.
Please help me help make a difference.
